When I find food that I like, I kind of become obsessed. Really obsessed. To that point I eat it for EVERY meal. The last time it was tahini. I have had it on porridge, eggplant, bananas, with chocolate. The list goes on.
And now. Dates. Or more specific medjool dates. Love how sweet and soft they are, and how creamy it make things. Yesterday me and my bestie was at this café in Jönköping, Lisa och Erik (they have a blog in Swedish here, its amazing!) and ate this chocolaty-gooey cake with dates. It was so good!
This smoothie makes a perfect afternoon pick-me-up. Loads of good energy and doesn’t taste as it possible could be good for you. It’s creamy, sweet and spicy. Oh yes.
You will need;
1 big banana
2 medjool dates
1/3 cup oats
1 cup almond milk
1 tsp cinnamon
0,5 tsp cardamom
0,5 tsp powdered ginger
Throw everything into a mixer (but make sure to take out the pit of the dates), mix thoroughly so there are no lumps. If it becomes a bit too thick, just add some more almond milk.
