SPICY MINI-TURKEY MEATBALLS

SPICY MINI-TURKEY MEATBALLS

I can’t really say where my obsession for meatballs started. Yes. I’m a true Swede and we love our meatballs. My favorite dish as a kid where spagetti and meatballs (my mum makes killer ones!) but we didn’t eat it too often. It’s quite a task to roll meatballs for four hungry people plus lunch the next day so it became quite a special meal and we ate them almost religiously. In Sweden it’s quite common to buy pre-made meatballs, but since I never ate any I really don’t really like them. And they smell like fart when you open the package. Not the greatest start to a meal…

I really love the versatility of meatballs. I like to change them up to fit the occasion and whatever I fancy that day. A classic Swedish version with cream sauce and lingonberries, an Italian one with loads of parmesan and a lovely tomato sauce or this turkey-one with a real kick. The possibilities are endless and I love it!

Oh. And also. SortedFOOD asked me if I wanted to share how I got into blogging together with some other amazing people. Read what I had to say HERE (Hint. It took a whole team including 4 British guys and a messed up back to get me started) and remember to check both them and all other amazing bloggers out.

Very nice recipe. The cheese provides moisture and salt. I like adding minced water chestnuts and bamboo shoots for an Asian theme as well as fresh coriander/cilantro leaves.
